What I Learned So far In Italy

If you leave fresh lemons in their netting bag on the tile floor to keep them cool, they will grow mold after 2 days.

Every other song played on Italian radio is the current popular song playing in America.

Fresh parsley in Italy lasts a lot longer even if you don’t put it in water.

You cannot have the heater by the bed turned on if you want to use the hair dryer in the bathroom.

Find out where the circuit breaker is before you dry your hair at night when it’s already dark outside, or at least know where the flashlight and candles are.

I don’t like washing dishes by hand at every meal, every day.

On a sunny day the crystal pendant hanging from my window casts beautiful prisms around the apartment.

If you don’t know how to open the gas flow for the stove since there are two knobs on the gas cylinder,  find Umberto the gardener and he will show you how to turn on the gas and also adjust the flame so you can cook your first meal in Tuscany.

Sometimes the hot water knob in old villas is on the right side of the faucet.

I dislike washing my clothes by hand even more than I dislike washing dishes by hand.

An attendant will help you put gas in the car even if you planned to do it yourself.

Listening to the birds chirping in the gardens outside my window is much better than listening to music on the radio.

Balsamo is conditioner and not shampoo.

I don’t like washing dishes by hand.
